Twenty-five years ago, I started sewing clothes for my own babies from beautiful 100% cotton Hawaiian print fabric. As the kids grew, I found I couldn’t stop making baby clothes! Thus began Sea Urchins – a family business dedicated to brightening even the darkest winter days.

My youngest two kids are still at home, and together we enjoy traveling to craft fairs, sharing the tropical colors and cheerful images that adorn the cozy flannel lined pants, buntings, hats and booties. And my new baby grand daughter is my youngest model! We are excited about offering winter and summer wear and more from our website, and spreading the happy colors to more babies than ever. Keep checking back to find what new uses I have found for Hawaiian print fabrics – no telling where they will appear next!

Don’t miss the “Recycled Urchins” area, affectionately referred to as my Recycle Bin. The newest addition to our line of baby clothes isn’t tropical at all. Starting from yard sale and thrift store finds, we remodel adult t-shirts, sweatshirts, & sweaters into comfortable, functional, always cute, and often funny baby rompers, sacques, dresses, and accessories. We appreciate that little or no new resources are used to create these one of a kind treasures.
